Gift Bows Using 3 Different Ribbons
Venus Ribbon

Figure 1

First cut three ribbon lengths, about 24" each. It's o.k. to be generous!

You can use either Grosgrain, SF Satin or Sheer Ribbon designed by Venus Ribbon.

Ribbons Used:
  1. Dot Ht. Pink Grosgrain
  2. Polka Dot Ht. Pink SF Satin
  3. Daisy Grosgrain
Figure 2 Form the first loop about 5", with print facing towards you. Always remember to firmly keep pinching and pressing down at the center of the ribbon by using your thumb and index finger. If the pattern does not show then twist the ribbon, so the pattern of the top ribbon always faces forward.
Figure 3 Repeat the above (Fold over the other ends). Adjust the bow loops so they are even.
Figure 4 Add the second ribbon on top of the first ribbon, just like you did in the first stage. However, this time, make the loops slighty smaller.

Figure 5 Dont forget to keep pinching and pressing down firmly at the center of the bow!
Figure 6 Figure 7
Figure 8 Now add your third ribbon. However, this time after you make the two loops, add a small loop over your thumb.
Figure 9 Remember, keep twisting and pressing firmly!

Figure 12 Next, you will need to take a twist tie (the kind commonly used for garbage bags, or from craft and floral store). You will slide this through the center, then twist tightly in the back. Once the twist tie is secure, you can adjust your bow to perfection!

Figure 17 Cut tails to even out the bow. Try folding ribbon in half vertically and taking your scissors in a diagonal and snip for a "classic V" shape.

Figure 20 All this takes a lot of practice, so be patient! Remember to keep pinching, twisting, and pressing! Practice by using some scrap ribbons before your final bow.

Hot glue Bow on to your gift. First you might want to wrap the present in a cross of a similar or matching ribbon.
